Frequently Asked Questions Q. Are the draft boards re-usable? Our draft boards are not meant to be re-used. Once the player label goes onto the corrugated surface, it cannot be removed without tearing. Some of our customers, however, have figured out different ways to utilize the boards without using the sticky surface of the labels. For this reason, we offer player-label sets for those who just want to buy labels.
Q. How do you ship the draft boards? A. We ship UPS Ground. Your order will be shipped within 24 hours of when we receive it (excluding weekends & holidays), but not necessarily the same day we receive it.
Please keep in mind that the number of days listed above can sometimes stretch out an extra day. UPS is good, but “only” 97% of their shipments arrive on time. Don’t cut your order so close that you risk not getting it in time. We would like you to allow at least an extra 2 days just to play it safe. When ordering online, please give us your phone number and your draft date in the “Comments” section when checking out. FJ Fantasy Sports will not be held liable if your order date is missed and you have not allowed at least a 2 business day cushion. UPS does not deliver Ground packages on Saturday, only Air packages if Saturday delivery is paid for and specified. Call us if you need a special delivery arranged. UPS shipments can be tracked online, and this is a big advantage over using US Postal Service. We will have UPS automatically e-mail you tracking info if we have your current e-mail address. We will ship UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, or 3 Day Select for an additional cost. Shipments to Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska require a different level of shipping, and can sometimes take up to two weeks to deliver. Please call us for all special rates. We ship “Priority” mail to military addresses (APO) at no additional charge. All draft boards and stands are shipped in a sturdy corrugated box. Click on photo to enlarge An order ready to ship Q. What is “Corrugated” and why are your draft boards better than your competitors? A. Corrugated is the material that shipping boxes are made of. It is a rigid material and allows the draft board to stand up by itself. We use glossy, pure white corrugated which gives the draft board a beautiful look and finish. Our competitors use a flimsy sheet of paper that has to be taped up on a wall, severely limiting where and how it can be used. Their paper draft board also comes to you folded in many squares, which makes it hard to flatten out. Our draft board is flat after you set it up, and you don’t have to worry about ripping it, or be concerned if you want to write on it. And no more repairing walls with paint and spackling compound! Since many drafts are conducted in bars, it is a big advantage to have a free standing draft board that can be used anywhere.Q. Why do some leagues prefer to use labels and some prefer writing in their picks? A. Labels make for a nice, neat orderly draft, with few mistakes being made on the draft board itself. Once a player is picked, his label is gone and can’t be used again. The draft board is very neat and easy to read. The downside to using labels is that it rewards the owner who comes to the draft unprepared. By having all the unpicked player’s labels available for viewing, you run the risk of that “unprepared” owner blundering into one of your sleeper picks later in the draft. By using a write-in draft board, every owner is on his own. If he didn’t prepare for the draft, or doesn’t know who is left, he will suffer with bad picks, and you run less of a risk of him finding that sleeper pick that you spent hours researching. The downside here is that the board will probably be harder to read, and if someone writes in a player that has already been selected, you’ve got to use “white-out”. For these reasons, we offer draft boards in both formats. There is no “best” way to do a draft. The “best” way for you is the way that your league prefers.
Q. How do I expand your draft board to accommodate more than 14 teams or more than 23 rounds? A. We offer optional 20”-high stands to expand the draft board to 30 rounds. We also offer panels that can accommodate an unlimited number of extra teams. We will also customize a draft board for you. Please call us and tell us what you need.
Q. Why are your draft board prices slightly higher than your competitors? A. There are two reasons for this. First, our draft boards are made of rigid corrugated material, and cannot be folded or rolled the way that paper draft boards are. This is a good thing, because you get a solid draft board that doesn’t have an abundance of creases. And secondly, because our draft board is much more substantial, it weighs more, which causes our shipping costs to be a little higher. For a slight bit more money, you get a HUGE upgrade in quality! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
